Foodbank toasts beer festival cash boost

14th March 2019

Worcester Foodbank is raising a glass to beer and cider lovers who have helped to boost its funds by nearly £670.

The donations flowed in while thousands of drinkers enjoyed last summer’s Worcester Beer, Cider and Perry Festival, with food bank one of three chosen charities to benefit from the event.

Rick Allen (pictured left) presented our manager Grahame Lucas with a cheque this week on behalf of the festival’s organisers Worcester CAMRA.

The money will go towards the £45,000 food bank needs to raise each year to keep its warehouse open and support the growing number of people relying on emergency food.
