Foodbank appeals for volunteer delivery drivers

26th April 2023

Worcester Foodbank is on the lookout for volunteer delivery drivers to join our team as we continue to go the extra mile to help people facing hunger across the city.
We are looking for pairs of drivers that can commit to a shift a week to pick up food parcels from our Lowesmoor warehouse and deliver them to the homes of clients across the city (generally covering WR1-WR6 postcodes).
Safeguarding guidance requires drivers to work in pairs, ideally made up of one male and one female. The shifts we are looking to cover are on Mondays and Fridays and are generally between 10.30am-2.30pm. Times can change slightly depending on how busy we are.
We understand that volunteers will not be able to commit every week due to holidays and other commitments, which is why we recruit extra drivers so we can provide cover.
Our drivers use their own vehicles. We are happy to provide reimbursement for fuel costs each month.
