Shoppers at two of Worcester’s main supermarkets can help make a difference to the lives of those facing hardship this winter by supporting a 3-day food collection.
Volunteers from Worcester Foodbank will be at the Tesco stores in St Peters and Warndon from Thursday to Saturday (27-29 November) inviting customers to donate an item or two to help feed those facing hunger.
Foodbanks up and down the country have relied on the generosity of Tesco shoppers to bolster their stocks as part of the annual winter food collection at the stores.
Winter is often the most challenging time for foodbanks as many low-income households struggle to make ends meet in the face of rising energy costs and other cost-of-living pressures.
Volunteers will be at the two stores from 9am to 5pm each day with shopping lists featuring the items foodbank most urgently needs.
